Cabling
The choices you make today will influence your home entertainment compatability for tomorrow. This is a fact; an integral part of your TV reception infrastructure is the quality of the coaxial cable installed. You may say it’s the veins of the system. When I install an antenna system I stringently adhere to future comparability issues you may face. Through years of field work, and experience with external ingress problems I recommend that a little extra be spent to ensure you will have no external interference problems in the future.
This is achieved by installing at a minimum a rg6 quad shielded coax of high quality and a shield as a guarantee. The cost of a fully enclosed fully digital compatible infrastructure with quality components is only a mater of a few dollars. I would suggest for your own peace of mind that you spend a little more to get what you really require for the long term. Good quality F type connections at every point, F type splitters of good quality for additional outlets and F type leads constructed of min duel shielded cable. F Type wall plates are mandatory; screw and saddle components are obsolete and should not be used in this day and age.
Pre-Wiring
If you are building a new home or extending you should consider having the coax pre wired/installed ready for final fitting off at a latter stage of completion. I would be available to perform this installation for you. We could design a system that would fit your needs, with all future scenarios covered to keep the cost down for you in the long run.
